Wow, she has a nice sound. A little folky, a little electric. I like the acoustic leadin, then the instrumental building. Good voice, good phrasing. Did she write the material as well as perform it?

I've been listening to the songs for the past 20 minutes or more and really like them. So much, I just ordered her cd! Girl has talent. Reminds me a little of Aaliyah, especially vocally and in the phrasing, but folkier--yet with some edge.

She's just 1 of 3 artists ecstatic, im excellent with graphics, flyers, promotion and management and i know a few platinum selling artists anyway so i figured why not. I'm having an event to launch all 3 of them this summer (straight, not tranny related) and the revenue from the event will be used for my first major published AD that I personally design featuring them in VIBE magazine, of course photography and retouching will be by someone else (actually my friend in new york who shoots the Enyce and Akademics advertisements). But anyhoo I got it all mapped out. You know I like to have my fingers in a little bit of everything and porn is not only wearing on me but the market is becoming saturated slightly. 8)

Yeah, I've got to check out the other artists, too. I just got an email from Genesys btw, thanking me for the order. The girl is not only talented, but very real! I was touched by her comments.

She's definitely got talent I like the lyrics and she's really soulful,I like the fact she plays the guitar too :o (wish I could) and she's as humble as you said Moni :!: wow she's already a star to me,it's a matter of time for her to be a star mainstream.Good luck with this project gurl she's definelty going far and keep your hustla on,even when times get harder cause this industry is full of bullshit;there will always be better days.

Hard to say. I have to listen to a cd quite a few times to pick out my favorites (that is, if I like the whole album, which I do). Mr. President is great, Love Exclusive, Strong Like Water, Silent, Reflections. I'll let you know after I've been listening to it for a week or so.

BTW, have you listened to Amel Larrieux? If you like Genesys Daze, I think you'd like Amel. Genesys reminds me of her a lot. She has a great voice and writes some powerful songs. Her cd Infinite Possibilities is excellent.

I like it, she has a bit of old country blues voice timbre much like. ma rainey or bessie smith. I like it simple chord progressions and good lyrics.

I would love to hear/see Genesys touring (opening) with artist like Anthony Hamilton. She has a great sound Moni. Hope something works out.

She has a lot of potential.....Kind of reminds me of India Arie......
