girl real world was so sad this year when that sexy ass boy got his eye fucked up. now he's funny looking and that's a shame cuz he was a perfect 10. it's no secret that i'm not really into white guys on a sexual level but he was one of the ones who i'd definitely fuck.

I love "Sanford and Son", i think that show is brilliant. I also love the show "Maude", although it was a tough sell at first, i used to hate it, but after being exposed to it over and over i began to love it. Also "Good Times" is a favorite of mine. Oh and there is,, or was a show on PBS here a long time ago, early 90's that was on the last 15 minutes of the stations broadcast, and only on Thurs nights, called "Jack Horkheimer's Star Hustler". It was basically this Captain Kangaroo looking guy in a sweater or windbreaker, and a sinister mustasche standing like a weatherman in front of a backdrop of a simulated back yard at night. He would basically just point to the stars and describe thier behavior on certain days, and give a little story about history, and make a little corny joke or two, then he would always end his show with the line ",,,always remember to KEEP,,,LOOKING,,UP!"

I see several shared interests here! Sadly, the TV landscape seems fairly parched right now, and little of promise new for the coming season. Here are some of my favorites, a baker's dozen each of classic and current:

All time:
The Prisoner
The Avengers (McNee / Rigg)
Star Trek (original, TNG)
Dr Who (all, but esp. Tom Baker & John Pertwee)
Babylon 5
Northern Exposure
M*A*S*H
I Love Lucy
Dick Van Dyke
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Angel
All in the Family
Sex and the City

Current:
Battlestar Galactica
Star Gate SG1 (new season with Ben Browder & Claudia Black)
Gilmore Girls
Boston Legal
Gray's Anatomy
The Shield
Nip/Tuck
Rescue Me
Medium
Numbers
Smallville
Alias

Here is a site that i found fascinating, and it is for all of you out there who liked the show Gilligan's Island. As a kid i for some reason liked the intro song, don't ask me why, but i thought that the intro and the footage of the ss minnow was cool. Of course i don't feel that way now, but when i was 5 i did. Anyway here is the link.

I gotta say that FX is really the best channel out there producing the best original series out there. And I just started watchin Stargate SG1 only because Ben Browder and Claudia Black are now regular on the shows. Reminds me of the good ol days of farscape. There is one show in development that I hope is not a rumor based on the character of spike from Buffy and Angel fame.

There are all sorts of rumors surrounding Joss Whedon's characters. Gellar has said that she'll never do Buffy again, and I don't think Boreanz is interested in revamping (pun intended) Angel. But Marsters has stated that he's interested in doing a rumored made-for-tv movie of Spike if it happens within the next couple of years: he's 43 now whereas Spike is eternally 27, so he doesn't think he could pull off the unaging vampire role for much longer convincingly.

If you like Marsters, though, check out Smallville this season: he'll be playing Superman's other arch-nemesis, Brainiac, for (I think) the first five episodes and maybe 12 episodes in all.

There was a "reality" show on ABC TV called "HOOKING UP" that had me open.
It was set in NYC.
I generally hate TV and watch very little until football season but this show was great.

Even though I like some stuff on television, there's nothing I can say is truely a must-see. My all-time favorite tv show ever tho' was Twin Peaks. That show was too good for television.

Oh, and I liked the old "Kung Fu" series with David Caradine as Kwai Chang Caine alot too. Yeah, they stole the idea from Bruce Lee, and it got a little silly at times; but it was good-silly. Grasshopper always righteously kicked redneck ass!

Arianna, I am a big fan of Kwai Chang Caine too, both the original Kung Fu and the 90s sequel. Silly at times, but like you say, "good-silly". I loved the episode of the original series where Caine defeats his powerful mystical opponent by sitting down and meditating--a trick that Malcolm used to good effect on a classic Highlander episode which I'm sure was a tribute to Kung Fu.

Did you ever see Circle of Iron, the movie that Bruce Lee was developing before his tragic death which stared Carradine? Maybe the best Kung Fu-based movie I've ever seen.

No, Caine's not in the movie. It's a Zen fantasy, told like a Chinese myth with many strange scenes (reminiscent of the Chinese classic novel Monkey--if you haven't read it or heard of it, check it out). There are two main characters, a very wise and powerful old master played by Carradine who takes several different forms (including a wiley and itinerant warrior who slays a huge bull with a single quick blow between the eyes) and a potentially powerful but quite naive novice who is on a journey of self-discovery named Cord. The climatic scene reveals Cord on the island of the wise where he looks into the Book of Wisdom and Truth (actually, I can't recall the name they give it at the moment), only to see a mirror and his own reflection. Suddenly and gleefully enlightened, he returns to the mainland and the wandering master played by Carradine. I no longer remember if Lee had planned on playing the master or the novice, but I think it was to be the novice. His death of course prevented his participation, but the film is brilliant.

I thought that Tarentino made lot's of good casting choices, including that one. I also think Uma Thurman was great, but I know that he wrote it for her. As far as chicks in kung fu flicks, I didn't like Charlie's Angels so much. That looked too fake, but Uma looked like she was kickin' serious butt. :)

Well I am a die hard fan of the original so I was scared to watch it. I will say I was pleasantly surprised. They kept the original concept with a nice little background story for Kolchak. They even digitally placed the original guy that played his charactor (sorry can't think of his name) in a news room scene.
