Some people do think that makes them more intelligent when they talk about those issues;but I guess you're wrong when you say this is something we have no control over , 'cause if most people had some political consciousness when they voted they wouldn't be complaining at all, of course it's important to raise our kids and do something productive; isn't it productive making the right choice when we vote as it may affect the whole world, being The U.S the most powerful country in the world ?

I can agree that many people feel that it makes them sound intelligent, but I disagree that it isn't always making you seem Political. Some people feel strongly enough that word of mouth is their way of campaigning against him. Thankfully, being in a Democracy, we are able to have differing views on our government and always work to correct the wrongs that our officials make.

I would talk about George Bush just to critisize him. But he screws up enough on his own. Thankfully, we won't have to put up with him for too much longer. Then we'll get a whole new wave of a bad presidents.

Having served in the military and spent over a year in Iraq i feel that the damage done during the "liberation" was enough to create a whole new crop of new "terrorists" . the truth is that most of the "terrorists" over there are created when we accidentally kill an "innocent" civillian the truth is that the truth is so distorted by both sides that the only way to see the true magnitude of His fuck up is first hand i pesonally dont think that bush even cares about those people because he obviously doesnt care about the american people. The good news is that China will be the next superpower and our government will learn how to kiss there ass instead of walking all over everyone else. The truth is soon what little privacy and freedom we have left will be traded away for "security" i think it was benjamin franklin who said "anyone who would trade away their freedom for the feeling of security deserves neiter one" (well thats as close as i can get to the translation cant remmember verbatum)
