View Full Version : Winter time sports/exercise/interests...
So everyone likes sex and all that fun stuff, but what does everyone get up to during winter beyond all the usual stuff? X-country skiing in particular for myself, but the rare winter hike shows up as well.

XC skiing is IT in the winter. Also, long walks, the ocassional hike, snowshoing. And waiting for spring so I can get back to biking, kayaking, and more!

Do video games count as sports yet?
How about if I virtually snowboard?

Hiking is actually great this time of year down here in the Southern U.S. Too damn hot to do it during the summer.

most of my exercise these days comes from bartender marathons....12-hour shifts 3 days/ week. using the downtime to give my feet a break.
there was a time when i was an avid climber....even took an ice climbing course....which just rocked!

My exercise is as follows
1. run to car to start it up
2. run back to house while car warms up
3. run back to car when warmed up.
I guess I could throw in playing a bit with my dog in the snow when it's not in single digit temps.

Oooh Baby, I've been tuning up my snowmobile all year for this season. Nothing like giving a shot of NOS to a 600 LB Sled   . I hope I don't get burried again this year, not fun having your buddies dig you out of a small avalanche.
But IMO Snowmobiling is definently IT for me this year.
