Assault on an M2F transgender here in San Antonio

Last night, apparently a guy found out the girl in his car was a transgender and "violently snapped" according to the news, and brutally assaulted her, before dropping her off at a local apartment complex.

Police are NOT calling it a hate crime, but are going to charge him with aggravated assault.

Remember....to many people, gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transsexuals are all, as my black lesbian friend once said, "the new African Americans". We're the only thing that the bigots can still legally go after and attack, since the Jews, blacks and other groups are protected now. Why else do you think congress, especially the hard core Conservatives, are doing all they can to keep "Don't ask, don't tell" alive, as well with the same-sex marriage issue? They need someone to hate, and to get away with it.

Remember, just a few decades ago, segregation was not just accepted and encouraged, it was LEGAL! They are trying to hold on to this as much as possible in one form or another.

It's still the 1960's, just that the names are different.

Although WE here at TGT promote and support Freedom of speech... That word carries a negative stigma with it. And there are more tactful ways in proving a point, although what he said is pretty much "spot on". Sad but true!

It's true, despite my personal beliefs in the contextual versatility of the word, and that there's little to be up in arms about over the use of any word at all in a mere example (I'd be a lot less heated, if at all, if someone said "..and then he said blahdeblahdebloo," than if someone were to actually call me blahdeblahdebloo, trying to bring me down), there just isn't any ignoring the weight it does carry, thus leading to its tactlessness. It's just a tactless thing to say, although on a side note, that speech the Martin Luther King character near the end of that one Boondocks episode is something I believe is more than worth heeding within the black community.

After all is said and done, I think Trogdor really did hit the nail on the head with that part of his statement; it's a different minority group working towards a new era of civil rights.
