just started on estrofem

hi all.
I have just recently started on hormones (estrofem) in the beginning, one week it was 1mg, but after talking with my doc. I increased the dosis to 2mg. a day.
I'm only taking estrogen because I'm in a relationship, so certain bodyparts still need to function.
However we are both very thrilled with what to expect from the higher dosis, and when it maybe will start to be visible.

I don't know, if any other girls in here only are on hormones or if they are using supplementing drugs besides that.

My goal, is to get a more feminine figure -and when that happens, see if I'll (we) will go further.

thinking of supplementing, finasteriade as an anti-androgen, to get a better use of my estrogfem.

I know from various post in here, that many use spinronolactone as their anti-androgene in theier regimen.

but will finasteriade do the trick also.

finasteride is not an AA anologue. it's not an anti androgen sweety. finasteride like propecia is used as an 'DHT blocker' it doesn't stop the production of testosterone...it stops tesosterone converting to DHT 'dehydrotestosterone' which is responsible for hairloss to the scalp.

either finasteride...or Dutasteride which is even better! can in some cases not only halt hair recesion on the scalp...but can also help to regrow new hair.

AA anologues are things like either spironolactone or CPA 'cyproterone acetate' also know as androcur.

there cud be health factors to either of these so it u tke spiro t hve any proper affect as an AA u will hve to use 200mg daily in divided doses 100mg morning and again evenings. if u tke dis then u should get your doc to tke regular blood tests to check your 'potassium' levels...u will hve to chnge ur diet too cuz high potassium foods like broccoli, bananas will be a no no! too mch potasium whn takin spiro is dangerous.

CPA is wht i always used b4 and it really worked well for me and made my skin beautiful. but there is all dis scare mongering bout cpa that it taxes the liver real bad?....ok..whn i wz jst a kid to stop puberty i was put on 50mg a day...but young trans girls being young trans kids ha ha! well...i took 100mg a day in divided doses plus my hormones.

i've learn't a lot since then cuz like so many other young trans girls 'we live it!' ha ha!

but i learn't something over the yrs from either filipinas and thai friends of mine that 2mg of cpa is jst as good as 50mg.

i spoke to my doc last week and he told me 2mg daily isn't gonna cause problems to the liver 'that's providing a person has a healthy liver as i do' and 2mg can be taken long term and in my opinion wud cause less damage than spiro...i don't think spiro should be taken long term.

if u reduce tyhe spiro to say 50mg a day if your pre-op it isn't gonna have mch affect as an AA.

but it's worth checking out cpa cuz lke a lot of us who started out real young will vouch...my doc too...2mg is as good as 50mg providing u hve the right regimine of hormones wid it.

I'm south american origin and most my friends are either latinas, or oriental. so we can't be wrong?...it's worked for us he he!

there are other products out there and i wuz readin bout them the other day and they say some of them are very dangerous and can hve serious side effects.

so, for what it's wrth and it's ur choice, but most of us either opted for cpa or spiro. cpa is in daine35 which = 2mg cpa + 35mcg ee.

but, if u go 4 combined pill lke diane35 ee is suppose to be the highest risk estrogen today cuz it sustains in the body longer...hense better feminizing effects..but it goes through the liver more times than other estrogen products...so don't smoke, be over weight, or drink too mch alcohol......besides, if u r gonna try dis method....u need to go and see a doc 1st depending on your health and age kinda thing.

cpa can cause depression to strt wid...so be warned and it's no joke!....but if it's ur choice u can ride through dis if u stick it out.

hey, i'm not tellin u to tke it ok...u asked the question..i gve the answer...but even if it's jst 1 or 2 tmes, at least go and chat to a doc 1st and be totally honest wid him/her.

Thats true, yes he knows about my bi-sexuality. Also were kinda just getting out of the relationship were just being friends trying to take it slow. I think i just have too many things running through my head. I guess im just going through a tempting phase or something.
