To me. Tho I am just a guy who hasn't had anything done to him.......it all comes down to what you want, and how you are willing to get there. Hormone's lead to natural breasts over time, while implants are more of a quick solution.

Silicone is not the only type of implants tho, there are also adjustable saline implants.

All I know is, if you are going the implant route, research the doctor and the type of procedure thoroughly.. Not all cosmetic surgeons are 100% ethically sound. and not all types of procedures lead to the exact results you may want.

Depends on the results you want, and your genetic heritage and hormonal development. For most, hormone-only breasts will only reach a certain size, whereas implants can add several cup sizes. One limit is that HRT does not increase the number of fat cells in the breast, but rather increases the size of the existing fat cells. Thus, there's an inherent limit to breast size (though this varies from person to person). IOW, you can increase the size of the breast cells, but not the number of cells. The most typical result is one cup size, though some achieve more.

To increase the size beyond this limit, breast enhancement surgery is the alternative, with little restriction on ultimate size. However, ideally one would want breasts that look natural, regardless of size, so working with a surgeon who will provide enhancement that looks natural in size and shape is ideal.

I found that I got my best breast results with 2cc's estradiol valerate (injectible hormone) and premarin 2.5..but I think they are D/C'd now.

I will agree with the gist of what E has said, with th supplementary
statement that prior to getting breast augmentation it would be
advisable to do a HRT regimen for a period of a year or two.

Having breast augmentation without having adipose (fatty) tissue,
will tend to produce an unnatural looking result.

Excellent point, Maggie, which I forgot to include. Of course, there's a lot more to it, but going as far as you can for a year or two on hormones prior to implantation is ideal. Also seek a surgeon who excels in breast implantation, such as Dr Gray in SF.

FWIW, I do know one transwoman, of Filipina heritage, who obtained large C cups purely on hormones; she told me large breasts run in her family and she was one of the lucky few who really filled out without the need for implants.

Hello,

One limit is that HRT does not increase the number of fat cells in the breast, but rather increases the size of the existing fat cells. There is not only fat in the breasts, much of it is glandular tissue. And this growths by progesteron...

but going as far as you can for a year or two on hormones prior to implantation is ideal.I had heard, that the full growth of the breasts can need 7 years or more...

And that goes in growth spurts, which means, they growth a time, then there is nothing to feel, then it goes on, and so on...

I think, itīs best, to wait, to get full natural breasts...

I believe what you are alluding to is the Tanner scale (also known as the
Tanner stages), which are the stages of physical development for the
primary and secondary sexual characteristics in the male and female.

Below is an illustration of breast and pubic development in the female,
we are seeing the age range of 10 years of age to +15:

I concur that breast development is indeed impacted by
the genetics of her family.

Yes, you are right with the Tanner scale; but I had told from my own experience with my breasts and their growth...
