I see that I got a 1-star rating by ... whoever.

As did several other threads in a recent swoop.

So, 1-star-rater, are you going to pop out and add a comment?

Or are you forever going to be ... whoever?

Have a look at pages 1 and 2 of the index and you'll see 4 or 5 threads that all got 1-starred at the same time yesterday.

I just find it odd that someone takes the time to read this number of threads and rate them, rather than adding a comment.

The same thing happens on other forums that use the star system.

Just a very odd piece of psychology.

Does anyone actually consider the star rating system before deciding they want to read a thread? Personally I don't - if it looks interesting I'll usually sift through it and if it doesn't I won't bother. The # of stars it has is never a factor for me.

Wasn't there a Dr. Seuss tale about stars? The star belly sneeches i think it was called, anyway some thought they were better because they had stars and others had none. I'm w/ Delia on this one, if the thread looks interesting i'll check it out. Take heart friend i got threads w/ no stars ... i prefer comments.
