was using Premarin 5 mg which is around 700 pesos before and spironolactone (aldactone) forgot the price.. but stopped for almost 7 months now and planning to continue taking but with different and cheaper hormones with lower dosage.
I am now planning to start taking hormones again with the brand Althea 2mg .. it has anti-androgen like Diane and it is cheaper.. :)

aldactone 100 mg is very expensive! over 40 pesos per tab :( ive switched to althea already since i drink estrofem with it now... i take 2 tabs of althea a day and 2 2mg tabs a day of estrofem... it work wonders :D

I do take althea pills then for almost 2 months na..the first month na use ko parang wlang effect, den nung 2nd month ko na, prang ngkaroon or ngexpand yung right side ng areola ko, ngkaroon na ng laman..pero yung left side..plain pa dn...huhuhhu..how do you take your althea pills po?In the first month I take it once a day lng, every night..then yung 2nd month gnawa ko na twice a day..kc mas effective dw?

lefty ka ba? im a lefty and my left breast is abit smaller than the right.. ive taken diane before althea and took it once a day lang takot kasi before didnt really know much about hormones and its long term side effects and not to mention its effects to the liver...

pero nung nag search ako ng search ive found many sites and i was surprised! there was one website that suggests us to take like 8 pills a day... different pills from aldactone to estrofem to diane and more.. kaya now i take althea twice a day and estrofem too twice a day...

try mo rin ang estrofem para mas mabilis yung effect :)

yeah izzylicious..takot dn ako before eh..zero knowledge tlga ako dati about hormones..then nung ngsearch ako nlaman ko yung mga pros and cons nla....ntakot ako dun sa effect sa liver...pero according to site nman it will be risky kung maxadong high dw ang dosage..as i know d nman ganun ka high ang dosage ng althea eh.... how much ba ang estrofem? over the counter ba yan?tnx po...

matagal na ako sa diane, few years na on and off. once a day lang talaga ako before kaya matagal yung effects... months din bago ko na kita ung changes...

good effect ng pills, nakaka smooth ng balat... less na ung facial hair
bad is mood swing... excessive sweating

Anyway, marami na akong nasubukang hormonal pills. Iba't ibang dosage at iba't ibang effects na naramdaman ko. Na try ko na nga lumaklak ng isang banig eh..hehe wala akong paki kung anong mangyari sakin before pero narealize kona hindi dapat minamadali ang isang bagay kung gusto mo ito makuha kasi ikaw lang din ang magsa suffer sa huli.
Regarding your hips, well, nung mag-take ako ng Premarin, for almost a year , nagkalaman laman naman sya. Pero di ako na kontento kaya nag pa inject nlng ako..hehe

Almost 3 years na sis,,
about depo provera, hormones din sya pero ini-inject. 50 mg every two weeks, pero risky talaga ang injectable hormones or yung Estradiol Valerate 10-40 mg per milliliter and may kamahalan din sya.. 1k plus yun.. every two weeks gastos :)

Sis is that you in the photo? You do look great. You're blessed to have such a pretty face. How old are you? I would still recommend that you take pills though, to keep yourself feminine as you age.

Estrogene pills: Estrifam (1 or 2 mg) from Novo Nordisk Pharma GmbH
Estronorm (1 or 2 mg) from Jenapharm GmbH

Progesterone pills: Utrogest Capsules from Dr. Kade/Besins Pharma GmbH

An alternative to pills may be gels, because, they will be absorb over the skin, what´s better than pills, which go over the gastrointestinal tract.

There are for estrogene: Gynokadin Gel from Dr. Kade/Besins Pharma GmbH
Estreva Gel from Merck KGaA

For progesterone: Progestogel from Dr. Kade/Besins Pharma GmbH

A problem could be there usage by high temperatures.

All of this stuff above contains natural/bioidentical estrogene or progesterone, the same stuff which are produced by genetic girls.

Other stuff, which contains synthetic estrogene (like Diane35), synthetic progesterone or some chemicals (like Androcur, Cyproteronacetate is a chemical, not a hormone!) may increase negativ side effects, especially by long term usage.

I take estrogen pills (Diane35) because I had this friend who took and he claimed that it had positive effects on his body. His cheekbones appeared, he had hips, and his face got smoother (no more acne). AND I am a witness to that so I was amazed.

The first pack I bought was on December 31, 2009 and up to know, I am still taking. This is already my 6th or 5th pack (im not sure) hehe. It so weird because since I started taking it, I felt more beautiful. I mean my cheekbones were more prominent, I think my voice got higher, my hair became softer and thicker, my skin was softer and got whiter (but acne did not completely disappeared), my sexual desire was reduced (no more erections which was GREAT) Overall, I was so happy with the results. BUT one issue is that I grew small boobies. First it started on my nipples then spread out. I'm having fun with it right now but I think it will disappear when I dont take Diane anymore. THE NEGATIVE EFFECT on me was I had terrible mood swings and I became very emotional. I never experienced being depressed though.

I just wanted to share this here. I do not want to become a transsexual (personally, i just dont see myself like that) AND I have nothing against transsexuals. I just wanted my body to be MORE feminine that's why i tried. I am planning to stop and promised myself that this would be my last banig.

Now, can you guys share to me the further effects on my body of Diane if I take it longer? And if you guys experienced the same effects that it had on me?

i havent seen any major major change yet, but im gaining weight which for me is a good thing.. i think its because of muscle redistribution due to the hormones that im taking..

oh wow its been awhile, heavenly i am taking estrofem 6mgs a day and aldactone 200mgs a day. yes dear i get bloated and i hate it. pills are really slow, if u want it faster try injections. im scared to try though coz the effects are irrversible, means u have to suffer for a few days whatever side effects it may bring

In the uk we hve sandrena gel 1mg sachets which gve a gd level of estrogen.

last week, i started taking in estrofem 2mg... and i noticed that my tummy gets bigger.. and lately i think im getting bloated!

people are against premarin cuz of the way it is produced...i know it is cruel to the pregnant mares.....but it does not mean to say it is outdated ever cause i think maybe it is still one of the best hormone pills.

They say premarin does not give so mch to breast development?...not true!...I am living proof it does work cause it was the first pill i took when i started out and i got very good breast tissue and good areola budding.

The best for me for breast tissue was sandrena gel...my breasts became too heavy...i am a natural 32DD...my breasts ached and i also got back and neck pains which gave me bad migraines....my doc told me it was the breast weight causing this...they were too firm....i would rather have less firm breasts and feel mentally better in myself than to have estrogen overload and to scream for the slightest little thing. Breasts are not the only thing, the rest of your body to look feminine also like skin, fat re-distribution, feeling not so stressed but happy in your mind. to me i don't think you need woryy so much HeavenLy cuz you are very beautiful. so convincing and natural as a girl...but estrofem?.....not for me ever gain!

Hey...i have to mention this cuz it maybe so very true?....oriental girls and latina girls from south america from where i originate....we tend to most of us use EE ethinylestradiol especially as in diane35 or althea so i jst found out is the same thing lol......i took diane35 + additional ee for yrs after stopping premarin....several of my asian friends over the yrs that say that cuz they too...(Primed their bodies) with ee and diane....since over the yrs when they take either hemihydrate or EV this goes through them like water and their body does not get all the good effects from these 2 types..........has anyone else here found this so if they have taken ee preparations for sometime and primed their bodies with this and then find other preparations do not seem so good for them?

I put a post on the general forum about measuring your gynae figure....but since i took zumenon which is like estrofem hemihydrate my figure is not so good...make me put on weight all over...so i need to come off this and am thinking of daine35 plus maybe small dose of premarin.

He he, Hiya Angel, no the CPA 2mg 'Cyproterone Acetate' is not a diuretic sweety. CPA even in just 2mg as in Diane35 is the most powerful AA 'Anti-Androgen' and they say just 2mg of CPA is just as good as 100mg.

Ok so it taxes the liver that's why the 2mg only in Diane will not do any damage to the liver if at all cause it is such a very low dose. But, if you were to take 100mg of CPA a day then yes if you take this for many years I guess maybe it could damage the liver?

I took 100mg of CPA at puberty, I was given just 50mg to take, but being a kid just to be on the safe side of not being damaged by testosterone I took 100mg he he. I took that for several yrs and my liver is really healthy today.

But now that I am wiser and far more knowledgable with hormones I now realize there was no need for me to have taken 100mg of CPA. In fact Diane35 X2 a day would have been just as good.

Spiro or 'Spironolactone' is a diuretic. You girls need to watch out for spironolactone.

It's not that safe to take long tern in high doses.

Also, if you go and google it and check out sprionolactone 'side effects' you will see there are many sites out there with both women and men on this and even on low doses like so 25mg or 50 mg a day spironolactone can cause Premature Ageing lines under the eyes and wrinkles around the face and this can be permanent! So beware!

If girls here prefer other estrogens instead of ee like so in Diane, remember, EE 'ethinylestradiol' is the estrogen used in all bi-conctraceptives, what makes each contraceptive pill different is either the EE strength either 20mcg 30mcg 35mcg 40mcg 50mcg, or, the different progestin added into the pill.

CPA as in Diane35 = EE 35mcg and CPA 2mg. CPA was invented as a progestin. It is still classed as such. But, they discovered it was the most powerful AA 'Anti-Androgen.'

So, like I said, if some of you girls out there prefer not to take EE as in Diane but prefer to take another source of estrogen, you could exchange the spiro for CPA and get 50mg pills and get yourself a pill cutter or scalpal knife and cut a 50mg pill into 16 pieces as equal as you can, does'nt really matter to be so exact this would give you more than in Diane and will give you around 3mg which is so close. This way will be so very cheap for you to he he! and last you so very long and not be so bad on your liver with such a low dose but will be very affective as an Anti Androgen. Without the long term risks of Spironolactone long tern and also the risks of de-hydrating the skin, and the face does not like to be dehydrated otherwize you wull get premature ageing and this could be very permanent.

For the hair the best thing to take is Dutasteride.

Finasteride blocks type 1. DHT Dehydrotestosterone' which is the conversion of testosterone on the skin surface, especially the scalp and hair follicle which is responsible for genetic pattern hair loss.

Dutasteride is far superior than Finasteride or Propecia because Dutasteride blocks both trype 1. and type 2. DHT

Dutasteride can take 3 to 6 months to work. If you get some hair shedding do not be put off by this as it would be a good sign as it is shedding hairs already damaged by DHT and of these hairs will go into what is known as a 'Resting Phase' all hair goes through this, but you will not notice your hair going thinner beciase of course you have so much on your scalp.

After 3 months those hair which were already affected by DHT will be replaced with newe stronger hairs which will root themselves deeper in the scalp which will mean they will grow thicker and stronger and between 9 to 18 months you will see a difference as your hair will become so much stronger and thicker. If you take a foto now and again in 18 months he he you will see for yourself.

If you take Dutasteride you take everyday for 1 month then you can take every other day because the 'Half Life' is so very long with this drug, so this way will be easier on your purse financially.

Some people think by taking more estrogens in extremely high doses will make you more girlie? It's not true and I will tell you why:

I did a really silly thing when I was 14 yrs old. Even though I was born Intersexed and assigned a girl from a baby, even so, when I was going through puberty at 11 as I was given exogenous hormones like we all take ok, I got my self into a real panic and had severe nightmares because I knew I was meant to be a girl and didn't want it any other way ever, I got it into my head I might turn out not like a girl and tyhis frightened me. My doctors told me that was impossible cause I was given CPA and EE.

But when I got to 14 I chose to take Premarin 2.5mg and was suppose to take X2 a day which equals 5mg a day.

I didn't! I got more pills and took X 9 a day = 22.5mg a day of Premarin.

I became mentally depressed and my hair went very thin and was falling out and I looked extremely thin and very ill. fortunately I only did that for several months and I told my doctor the truth cuz I looked and felt so ill.

So, the moral is: the more you take isn't going to work better.

It's knowing what to take with the right combination which gives the best results and being safe at the same time, plus it's cheaper too he he!

Hey! I'm actually not a full grown transsexual but I just wanna share that I am gay and when I say gay, I'm the effeminate type.

I take estrogen pills (Diane35) because I had this friend who took and he claimed that it had positive effects on his body. His cheekbones appeared, he had hips, and his face got smoother (no more acne). AND I am a witness to that so I was amazed.

The first pack I bought was on December 31, 2009 and up to know, I am still taking. This is already my 6th or 5th pack (im not sure) hehe. It so weird because since I started taking it, I felt more beautiful. I mean my cheekbones were more prominent, I think my voice got higher, my hair became softer and thicker, my skin was softer and got whiter (but acne did not completely disappeared), my sexual desire was reduced (no more erections which was GREAT) Overall, I was so happy with the results. BUT one issue is that I grew small boobies. First it started on my nipples then spread out. I'm having fun with it right now but I think it will disappear when I dont take Diane anymore. THE NEGATIVE EFFECT on me was I had terrible mood swings and I became very emotional. I never experienced being depressed though.

I just wanted to share this here. I do not want to become a transsexual (personally, i just dont see myself like that) AND I have nothing against transsexuals. I just wanted my body to be MORE feminine that's why i tried. I am planning to stop and promised myself that this would be my last banig.

Now, can you guys share to me the further effects on my body of Diane if I take it longer? And if you guys experienced the same effects that it had on me?

Us girls take hormones because we are girls on the inside and need to be on the outside. We live and breath as girls.

If you are a man why do you want to play around with things you don't understand.

If you take CPA even in 2mg as in Diane for several months you run a high risk of becoming permanently sterile.

CPA is to counteract the effects of testosterone, but as you are a man and you have male gonads CPA will totally ruin your chances of fathering a child in the future if you continue to use this.

.. my boobs grew bigger. i can do a little push on my breast and its noticeable!

on the other hand... my tummy gets bigger.. :( i dont like this one. another one, hair loss.. i notice it every morning on my hair brush.. :(

what did you take before you took diane and did you have any hairloss before this?

this is important to know cuz they say the cpa in diane can cause dht active hair follicles to shed over 3 months which they say is a good sign cuz this is making way for new hairs to grow stronger and replace the ones you lose. hair grows in 3 month cycles.

if you never had hairloss before using daine then it maybe diane is not suited to you and you maybe wize to stop this and maybe go back to what you were taking before.

the best thing for hairloss is 'Dutasteride' this product has a very long half life.

for example most estrogen hemihydrate pills like estrofem have a half life of around 14 hours, this means that it halves it's strength every four hours thereafter the half life.
Dutasteride has an exceptionally very long half life 'six weeks' so after you take this every day for one month you can then take it every other day without losing affect. it will take 3 months to take full affect though, but of all the hairs you lose before this will re-grow again but much stronger.

But, if you never lost hair before taking diane then it's best to do one thing at a time and take an estrogen prep that suits you before rushing out to buy dutasteride.

i tried estrofem once.. sa watsons ako bumili.. its around 500-550.. 28 tabs sya.. once ko lang tnry kse lumaki tyan ko.. ang bilis nya makataba.. hindi ko nagustuhan ung taba ko that time.. so i switched back to diane..

515 ang estrofem sa mercury, 28 tabs, dito sa cebu. sadly rose pharmacy isnt selling it anymore ( it seems ) mas mura sana :)

During hormonal therapy kasi we need to take the right dosage and monitor our internal organs from time to time kasi mga sis FYI, hormonal therapy can make your liver, heart and other internal organs very very sick kaya from time to time need sya imonitor. I have heard na taking oral pills kasi may halo syang contraceptives are the ones na very prone sa pag cause ng liver and heart problem among transgenders... Kaya ako mag papaconsult muna ako sa endo sa makatimed which is TG friendly para alam ko ang Do's and Donts

Advise lang toh mga sis... aanhin natin ang magandang katawan kung mapapahamak ang ating kalusugan :)

i suggest reduce it to 1 tab diane + 1 tab estrofem... increasing the dosage will cause higher risk sis of developing cardio vascular problem or liver problem...

well mga sis... yeah there are lots of TS here in the philippines na nag se-self medicate when it comes to HRT. pero thats really a big no no... kasi case to case basis yan... pwedeng sya lumalaklak ng pills for 5 years hindi naman natetegi pero believe me or not meron ding cases na napapaaga ang death because of self medicating

I know super rare ang doctors na we could ask for help para sa HRT. kaya what I am doing now is sharing you what my doctor is advising me to do. Or pwede din kayong mag search sa google ng guides for HRT's para kahit simple man mag ka knowledge tayo about sa therapy na ginagawa natin...

if you want faster effect and least health risk using micro pill, my doctor said pure estrogen like estrofem can be place under the tongue and let it dissolve there... on that method it will go directly to your bloodstream and wont gonna pass to your liver that could help decrease the health risks.

pwedeng for now, for 3-5 years healthy tayo at maganda tayo... my question is how about 10-15years after? kesa i regret natin sa huli, mas mabuting sumunod tayo sa tamang guide lines at wag mag self medicate.
