Hey members of the Transpinay chat. I am just joined your site. I am pumped to be here. I will be moving to Manila this Sunday, April 11th. I will stay for a year and perhaps more.

I have spent the past 4 years living in Rio de Janeiro where I have established a business. Have you visited Rio? If not, you should put it on your list of must see places before you die (your kick-the-bucket list). It's a very enchanting city to say the least and I am very fortunate to have spent time there. But, I have a strong inclination that Manila is going to be even better.

To make a long story short, I am moving to Manila for business. In Rio, I had a very strong and loving relationship with a tgirl for 2 years. However, she (Flavia) left to study in Spain and I am on the move to Manila. I guess it wasn't meant to be. But, we have both agreed to move on.

Well, could anyone give me some tips on living in Manila? I will be living in the Greenbelt district. I like to get involved in the city that I live in (i.e. volunteering/charitable work, joining clubs/business organizations etc...). Are any of you involved in activities/groups that you would recommend?

More questions:

I am used to the Brazilian culture where people are very bold and direct. Are Filipinos this way? or should I take a reserved approach to meeting people?

Any must see places in the Philippines outside of Manila?

What is the best way to meet serious tgirls/Transpinay in Manila? I am looking for a serious relationship like I had in Rio. Have you tried sites such as meetladyboy, filipinaheart, and filipinofriendfinder? or are these sites scams?

I will check back in later. Look forward to chatting with all of you at some point.

for sure Brazil and Philippine culture is very much alike because of we both share the common and dominant religion which is Roman Catholic. Values & Family Ties are up there. Must see places outside Manila are Cebu, Bohol, Palawan, Camiguin, Siquior, Davao, Dakak in Zamboanga, Boracay, Iloilo, Bacolod, Baguio, Pampangga, Batangas, Camarines Sur, Ilocos Region, Mountain Province, I am sure there are tons of choices for you depends on what you like to do for fun. When it comes to meeting a tgirl, i can tell you that dating sites are no use.

Thanks for the reply Juliana. I am finding that Brasilians and Filipinos to be similar in many ways as well. I will get to Cebu. As far as meeting a tgirl, I have had some luck on the matchmaking sites... but, we'll see. I will keep you posted.

I think if you're careful & savvy the dating sites can be a goldmine. Friendster & Date in Asia are free too. I'm starting to look at Cebu for relocation.

i think brazilians and filipinas are kinda similar, i guess because of the foreign influence we had. but filipinas are more conservative unlike brazilians who bare it all at the beach. but they share most of the positive traits.

i live in makati near RCBC building which is 5 mins away from greenbelt.
im bored as hell so i have time if ever you want to hang out or gallivant. give me a shout.

dating sites are a waste of time. youll meet alot of scammers and wierdos.
