Today I was on the phone with AOL's community action team, got disconnected twice and then when I finally make a connection the guys headset is broken so I can't make out what he is saying, Then I get through for a forth time and it's a "foreigner" which seems to be the usual occurance at AOL and I can't understand what the hell she is saying to me so out of frustration I hang up and at this point I probably won't call back until tommorow! Someone tell me why if it's AMERICA ONLINE their call center is in INDIA and they hire people who struggle to speak ENGLISH!!!

U would think it's just AOL but it's not... Yesterday 3 hours of my time was wasted with sprint. It seems there as a tower down in my area so every time i make a call i get a "network Busy, Try again later" message. I spent hours being transfered around and dealing with idiots who had no idea what the hell was going on and the ones who did try to help me trouble shoot messed my phone up even more to the point where it ended up disconnected altogether and my voicemail totally deleted!! Finally I find out that my best friends phone with sprint is having the same problem and we ask sprint about it and they say "oh a tower is down"

I HATE CALL CENTERS FOR HIRING MORONS AND MAKING ME TALK TO RECORDINGS AND PUNCH IN 30 NUMBERS SELECTING OPTIONS TO TALK TO EVEN BE TRANSFERRED TO THE MORONS ONLY TO BE DISCONNECTED AND GO THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCESS AGAIN!!

That happens with every call center, see what happens is they hire people to be an "Operator" And they hire them in masses and they all work in the same buildings here there and everywhere. ANYBODY whos a person can work there, NO EXPERIENCE necessary. So basically your calling a person like me (who knows JACK NOTHING) about a problem And all they are doing is troubleshooting it off a cumputer which holds ALL KNOWLEDGE that these people sit there and represent.

They are just people who bug the shyt out of you and i think they do it so that less people stop calling for stupid shyt lol like calling to say "ummm can you tell me where my talk button is?" You know people are just that lame. WHEN I GET THROUGH i always ask them to send me to a Supervisor if i cant understand them or ill tell them Send me to someone who speaks proper english i cant understand a damn word you are saying, and if i get cut off, im making sure YOU GET IN TROUBLE, whats ur OPERATOR ID again? But then again theres a reason im so mean, I USED TO HAVE SUNCOM and called them bitches like three times a week :x .

Anyways Moni, Sit down, Troubleshoot the mind and just hit 0.0.0.0 till you get through with someone and tell them you didnt have time to listen to the stupid recorded voice, and let them know your problem, if its someone from india Or dont speak proper english, tell them to send you to another operator... if they say they cant do that, 1 thats bullshyt and 2 just tell them, fine i would like to speak to your supervisor! that always worked for me

I've been a web designer/developer for eight years, so AOL is definitely one of the services I use: it's the largest online network in the world, and has its quirks for web browsing which means it's important for me to be aware of where they're at. Also, I've had a couple of AOL email accounts since like 1994 or so. Comcast is also my ISP.

i know it won't be popular, but sounds a bit prejudicial?
We are all stymed by call centers. Most are bad.. What can u do?
Not sure if this passes thru the front door, if posted by a male here?
Just my thoughts.....
It's Thanksgiving...And we all come from somewhere else. My grandfather from Italy. Grandmother From Quebec province, looking for work. Much worse jobs, sweat shops, and mills. Not call centers. They got the same kind of comments and worse...
anyways
Happy Thanks Giving. I am Thankful for what I have....Everyday!

nothing can beat the time i tore apart an old Compaq PC & called Tech Help about what power cables went where. They took all the info, model number & what not. Then proceded to tell me it wasnt one of their computers, though all the paper work had Compaq plastered on it, & it was all over the outside & inside the freaking maching I bought at Best Buy.
