I use Ares. I seem to get the song I want the first time. On Limewire I used to get junk songs all the time.

i used too, i could never get a stabe connection with limewire...i switched to morpheus which is fairly right on...although my bartender swears by limewire so...

I would download a song, it would be like 4 to 5mbs. Looks right and then after I downloaded it I would play it. It would be just the hook playing over and over again or it would be silence with a kinda buzzing sound ever so many seconds. Acutually now that I think about it, that was with Kazaa. I may have to try Limewire again.

I use Limewire and i get the junk every now and then you just have to look for the true song name and make sure you download with anywhere from 10+ users, sometimes the one user downloads are real too, its not that hard to delete it, limewire functions so you can delete it from the limewire itself ONE BAD THING, it sucks bandwidth like a mofo, then again i use unlimited so i get the songs and movies faster, i downloaded alot of disney movies, since i am a disney freak :D OOOOOoo I just downloaded Mulan 2, Never seen it till the other day, AWESOME movie!

I been using limewire forever and I love it. I used kazaa and winmx in the past, but they don't compare to limewire. Especially when it goes on turbo mode...those songs download in less than a minute. Plus if u launch it while its downloading and listen to it b4 it finishes to test the quality to make sure its good b4 u finish the download.

Latley ive been using kazaalite or winmx, ive been heraing alott about audiogalaxy again tho, going to have to investigate. Limewire was ok, but when i used it, there wasnt many users on . Dont get me wrong , I do support artists, i usually download a bunch of songs from someone, and if more than 5 dsongs on an album is good, then i buy. Screw the RIAA

Your all in the wrong... If thats what you like to use thats fine but I highly recommend Morheus. Mainly because the Morpheus program connects to lots of networks such as limewire kazaa ect. So its like the master program and downloads from everywhere

Ares is pretty good till I started having problems with connection. I use morpheus now.

For whole albums and larger downloads.. you'd be better off doing bit-torrents. Azeurus (sp?) is the best bet. You'll download 1GB+ in 8hrs or less (depending on how popular the download is).

bit torrent is the best way to go. fast & easy. only downfall is that older stuff is hard to track down. best part is Im about ready to ditch Cable TV entirely. i can just download shows as I please & also put them on the PSP when on the go. Plus my favorite stuff isnt brodcast in Canada so I dont have much choice. (adult swim on cartoon network)

for music i usually stick to soulseek, been on that since 2001 when it used to be all the crazy rare electronica. Now is gota anything imaginable.

for those people using P2P sharing software, the reason you think its a memory hog is because it is..... almost all of those programs install adware/spyware.

if you want to download good stuff try usenet or bittorrent. you'll find less viral/spy/adware this way. and you can get software and pron this way as well.

if all you want is music get streamripper32 and rip streams virus free from shoutcast.com

if you want dvd movies that you know for a fact are good, go rent them and rip/burn them to dvd.

in canada it isnt illegal to rip/download/warez as long as you dont share it with others.

those P2P sharing programs are just virus portals. and they come with ad/spyware pre-installed.

go here http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html and download adaware and run it. you'll find lots of stuff running that shouldnt be there. beware, it might break your sharing programs because they have ad/spyware running within them. which is why they use so much bandwidth and memory.

this is what i use on customers machines for a basic install in conjuction with adaware and a firewall. i build systems and networks for a living. i am forever re-installing machines because they get so hosed by these sharing programs when there is no need to with other safer places available for people to get the same stuff.......

Yes, I use LimeWire, and I think it is great. But just be careful as with all P2P for viruses etc....

For some reason Limewire just doesn't find all the searches on the gnutella network your after....Bearshare finds more.

although YES bearshare is adware, the two popups I get when I open it up is a small price to pay for greater file searchablility.

Limewire is cool for downloading single song and lots of source.
Torrent is the best for downloading the whole album, Movies, Application etc etc. Try Bitcomet, the best torrent client.

yeah i use limewire pro for a few things but newsgroups is the way to go for me
But limewire is a p2p software and not a torrent software folks. there is a difference.

I've been using Limwire for a while. Off and on. I was downloading during the days of free Napster then moved the winMX. After that closed (don't know if they reopened or not) I icked up Limewire. I used it mainly for TV shows. I'm sure it's better to use bit torrent but I... I'm lazy. I'd download more shows that I want but I've only got 30 GB... 2/3 of it used. Don't worry I'll be getting a new one soon. Maybe 250 GB... that would satisfy all shows i want.
