yesterday was exactly 4 years since the death of R&B angel AALIYAH by plane crash coming from shooting her "rock the boat" music video in the bahamas. :( http://www.AALIYAH.com may she rest in peace and be remembered for the beauty she possesed both inside and out.

OMG, four years already? Moni, you probably know I'm not a rap or hip-hop fan, but I really loved her work. She was very talented and from what I've read a great person. Just starting to get movie work, and she was outspoken about her beliefs: Loose Rap, We Need a Revolution, Rock the Boat.

i had bought her tribute dvd back when she passed and never really bothered to watch the interviews. i normally just watched the music videos. but yesterday i decided to watch em in memory of her and i almost cried. how can someone soooo beautiful still manage to be so humble and classy. she was truly 1 in a million and i'm not ass kissing or jumping on the band wagon i'm being real. poor baby.

Oops, of course I meant to type We Need a Resolution, not revolution!
am i supposed to change? are you supposed to change?
who should be hurt and will we remain?
we need a resolution
we need a resolution
we need a resolution
we have so much confusion
Great dialogue in song format.

Aaliyah was so talented. She had a great singing career ahead of her. Her death was a big tragedy.

a great career ahead of her? she had a great career at the time of her death babe. i realize some of u don't know this but Aaliyah was discovered by R.Kelly and recorded her first album at 14. she had been in the industry 9 years prior to her death. she was always popular and to this day still is.

You're right, Moni. The career which was just beginning to bloom for her was in acting. Slightly cheesy role, maybe, but I still loved her in Queen of the Damned.

she was supposed to be in "the Matrix" sequals

Yes, and she would have improved those movies at least a little. I didn't care for them at all, yet the original Matrix was one of the best SF movies ever filmed, a real genre-buster. Which role was to have been hers? Jada's?
