This is a pretty odd question to ask.......But whats the duration of time, before I or any other girl loses her ability to maintain an erection let alone get an erection after having an orchiectomy (castration)?

Actually Crystal that question isn't as odd as you would think it is.
I remember the day that I had my orchi, and I've outlined my experience and
provided other useful links below, that we have here on Tgirltalk on that and (http://www.tgirltalk.com/forums/vbnews.php?do=category&catid=6&title=transgender-srs-orchiectomy)
many other related topics you can view at the top of page.
At any rate, on the day that I had my orchi, when I got home and was still
under the influence of the anaethesia I masturbated.
To my surprise there were still bullets in the gun.
Days, weeks, and months later, I found that what fluid I did have upon
ejaculating was clear, watery, and there was not much of it.
Additionally I found that I wouldn't have any involuntary erections, there was
no morning wood, and tucking was a helluva lot easier.
Interestingly when I did have an orgasm, I was able to have one relatively
quickly thereafter due to not having to go through the refractory period that
males go through.
As is pointed out in the links below there are many benefits to having an
orchiechtomy, one was I was able to reduce my dosgae of estrogen, and
also that pesky testosterone would no longer continue to be produced.
One caveat though, if you are contemplating SRS, don't wait too long as
the scrotal and penile tissue shrink.
So they recommend that you play with yourself alot, to keep the tissue from
atrophying. :o

Thank you, that is very kind. ;)
I figure if I'm going to be somewhere, I should attempt
to contribute positively if I can.

Glad I could be of some small assistance. ;)
Before HRT my penis had a mind of it's own.
After HRT it calmed down a bit.
After the orchi, the little bugger was in check.
I might get a semi-flaccid erection if I was turned on by someone
or something.
As we know the testes produce the vast majority of testosterone.
However A small proportion (about 5%) of total plasma testosterone
is also produced by the adrenal glands.

It's doubtful, but possible that you may be producing a very high level
of testosterone through that means.
So your endocronologist may need to tweak your HRT regimen.
Be aware though that we all need a little testosterone to have a sex drive.
Even the natal female needs it, and for her it is produced in her ovaries.
