It can depend on:
- upper limit file size determined by Admin
- allowed file extensions
- user's permissions, user or the group is not allowed to add an attachment
- client's (web browser's) security policy is too restrictive
- etc etc

Hi could you elaborate a bit there mate? I've tried both IE and Firefox, and shut down my firewalls on a clean reboot, and still I don't get the "post attachment" box here in the forum. But I do get the box when I try to PM. I don't think it's the file size or xtnsions because I can't even get that far. I think it's permissions myself because I get the box in the PM areas but not here, so it looks like I have permission to post in PMs but not to the forum, but I don't know enough techie to be much help to Moni. Any ideas?

Yes, it sounds like a problem related to permissions. Moni, have You tried to perform the same thing as a "mortal being", and not like an Admin?
