Challenge from Cairo...

Hi all. Hope everyone is doing well! OK, here I go challenging the networking skills of the collective group.

Does anyone have any friends or ideas of what to do here in Cairo, Egypt? I will be here for the next two weeks or so. Pretty neat so far. Spent the day at the pyramids and sphinx and shopping at one of the great bazaars (spent way too much money! Who wants a souvenir?).

I got some great advice from a couple of you the last time I asked about "what to do and see" in a particular area. But then again, Philly is a bit less far-and-away than where I am this time. ;-)

PS... if I can get this picture to post I just wanted to share it. Nothing at all to do with the lovely pictures most of you post of yourselves or other lovely ladies but I thought it was pretty cool. Especially when you consider where I took it from. If anyone can guess you will win my eternal respect. ;-)

The back of a camel?

Ecstatic... You know, I remember when I first logged on here and mentioned Harisu, from Korea, and you seemed to at least as much as I did about her (if not more) even though I have actually met her and we have mutual friends in Korea. I though that after you surprised me then that you might be the one to get the answer. But no, not from the back of a camel, though I did have my picture made, posing as a "camel jockey". Not trying to make a disparaging remark there, but one of the guys who do give rides there on camels took off his keffiyeh and put it on my head, haded me his stick used to drive the camel and took my picture with the camel. Sorta cool I guess.

Actually, the picture was made from the third floor of the Pizza Hut that is right out the gate of the "park" where the pyrimids and sphinx are. I have other pictures with the Pizza Hut logo on the glass through which I took that picture. All told a pretty cool day.

Cool, Tony. My first thought was that you took the picture from the Sphinx, but then I saw that the Sphinx was also in the frame. Pizza Hut, huh? American capitalism at work.....
