The GG take my dignity and pride? Nah not at all lol as a matter of fact she made me stronger hunni. I didnt go for guys because of her cause i knew i liked guys since i was a child. She wasnt my first and definitely isnt my last. And i dated girls after her who were mor than respectful to me. I still keep in contact with a couple of the gg relationships. And they come to me for advise most the time. But no she didnt take anything mentally from me. I just hate the fact that she took all the things i worked for when i started my own personal life away from home.
Dignity and pride, hunni, i still have thst, as a matter of fact its risen to its peak and hasnt even stopped. I aint saying i got it all but in love i have all that and more. Granted, love cant buy you everything you need and want, but remember, money cant buy you love either. It cant buy you happiness, but it can sure cover the low self esteem one has. Money is so overrated. Who needs ten cars twenty houses three yachts ect ect ect. I got a roof over my head, i got food to eat, bills payed and someone to love now. Its all i ever asked for in life and its all i will ever need. Anything else is just extras :D

MY LONGEST & 1ST LOVE

My longest relationship to a wonderful and handsome Rican Male was for 8 ½ beautiful years. Though I decided to move on due to his military activities & beliefs along with a bit of insecurity and always thinking that I would leave him for a younger male - When in reality I’ve always been attracted to males that are a “LIL” older and/or more mature in the soul.

Nevertheless we remain the best of friends and are in contact quite often. Becoming just friends has opened the doors to many things that I never knew about him when I was head over heels in love - Love that I will always have because he was my first true love and who I lost my virginity to. In fact he inspires all the love poems that I write. I’ve been in two more long term relationships (4 yrs & 2 1/2) since – But I can honestly say that I haven’t felt love like I have with him since.

He treated me like no other woman in the world and my family loved him just as much as I did. He couldn't cook worth a damn but made up for it in other areas such as quality time and communication to the fullest of my ev’ry need. Then I taught him how to cook and some. :D

I dare try to compare Mr. Figueroa to another male that I may become involved with. Not my goal to have one meet up to his expectations - Maybe that’s why I’m happily single, because no one has shown me anything quite new. Could that be why I'm so drawn to Ethnic Males - Who knows.

i'm the anomaly here, i see....in part, perhaps, because my age is anomalous for this group. my longest relationship was 16 years....a little over a year and a half of dating/engagement, followed by 14.5 years of marriage. somewhere along the line, our communication skills atrophied and the various relational strains just got to be too much. we agreed to separate 4.5 years ago & there's been nothing since.

my 20/30 hindsight tells me that we lasted that long out of shear stubbornness and it probably should have ended after not more than 4-5 years. however, i've got a 9-year old daughter that i'd move the sun and moon for........... :cry:
