Hi. Tony here from near Washington DC. At least that's where I am when work is not taking me on the road. I have a great job that takes me all over the world about 200 days each year. Just wanted to say hi to everyone here after lurking for a day and reading various posts.

Other than saying hi from the new guy the only thing I have to offer, if anyone cares, is some pictures of 하리수, or Ha Risu. On a recent post regarding photos of everyone's favorite TS porn stars I saw one picture of her and a request for more but I didn't know if this was too old to post on or not. Forgive my ignorance of the protocol and courtesies of this site. I am the new guy after all. ;-) I am something of a fan of hers and know quite a bit about her as I lived in Korea for three years and speak, read and write the language. She is quite a celebrity there, though not a porn star. In fact, she has only done partial nudes.

Anyway, great forum and I look forward to reading a lot more here!

Thanks,
Tony

Welcome to TGT, EdNigma (do you don a green suit covered with question marks and harass the Caped Crusader from time to time?). Ha Risu is gorgeous and talented indeed. I think Juliana may have brought her up here before. You can probably add a lot to this brief description, but here's a little background. Ha Risu (born Lee Kyung-yup in Seongnam, near Seoul) is a transgender model, actor, musician, author, and comedian who has starred in a film based on her life, released four albums (ranging from dance and techno to rhythm and blues), and published an autobiography called Adam to Eve (or Eve from Adam - being transliterated, it could be read either way).

She was born in 1975 and lived unhappily as a man for 28 years until Kim Seok Kwan, the surgeon who almost single-handedly brought SRS to Korea, helped her transform into the beautiful woman she is today (though I'm not positive about the surgical credit, as I've also read that she had her SRS performed while living in Japan). Her stage name is a play on the English "Hot Issue." In 2002, the Inchon District Court recognized her as legally female, and she changed her name from Lee Kyung-yup to Lee Kyung-eun.

Stats:
Height: 168 cm (5 ft 6 in)
Weight: 48 kg (106 lb)
Body: 89-61-89 (35-24-35)

I hope you enjoy the forum. Here's a couple of pics of Ha Risu so folks know who you're talking about.

Ecstatic,
Yeah, the green suit is great. But when I get excited the question marks become exclamation points! I see I am not the only fan of Harisu. I have lots of pictures of her and two or three of her music videos if anyone wants them.
I have heard different dates for her birth but all are within a few of the date you gave so if you are not right on you are close. An interesting thing about her is that when I first moved to Korea in 2000 she has already had SRS and there was much ado about her no longer being obligated to perform the mandator military service required of all males. One of my friends said "she is now a 2" referring to the first number on the national ID cards - 1 means you are a man and 2 means you are a woman.
A final interesting point about her, at least a point I find interesting... .she really got her start as a model for a cosmetics line called "Dodo" in Korea. In the first commercial Harisu walked past another attractive Korean girl and the girl noticed how beautiful Harisu looked and while they are staring at each other Harisu throws her head back and laughs, which reveals a large adam's apple. The point of the commercial is sort of obvious I think, though not valid in her case. Oh, and the adam's apple was computer generated, not real. ;-)
On a different note, I love this forum. Some fascinating conversations!!

LOL@?'s becoming !'s And that's a great Ha Risu story about the cosmetics ad, I never heard that one. Anyway, I think she is one of the most beautiful women in the world (doesn't matter that she was born a man).
