Hi, I'm here in Bankok right now and I'm starting to love this place. I've been here for a week and tomorrow I'll be going to Siem Reap Cambodia to see the Ankor Wat! I went to kings castle 3 and I saw a ladyboy show and they are really nice, fun and crazy!!! There are some girls there that are familiar to me but I just dont know there names. After Cambodia I'll come back to Thailand and go to Pattaya, Chiang mai then Phuket and from Phuket ill go to Singapore then Manila.

Carla, you've just described my dream trip. One of these days...maybe later this year...I will be hitting those same spots. There's so much of Thailand that I want to experience: the sandy palm tree tropical beaches, the mountains and waterfalls of the north, the centuries-old temples and Buddhist monuments, the bustling cities, the amazing food...oh yeah and the ladyboys!
Deun tahng dooay sawatdi pahp na!
(Bon voyage...at least according to my Thai phrase book!)

Carla
Cambodia is fantastic - Angkor Wat ... well you'll be there by now.
If you get to Phnom Penh be sure to check out the "Polpot" Museum - it's actually called something like the "Civil War Museum" and it's less of a museum than a memorial to the 100,000's killed - it's in a school that was coverted to a prison.
Also if you're back in Bangkok - the King Palace is great as is Ayuttahya (a 2 hr drive away).
You should pass on Pattaya as it's absolutely horrible.
I'll be in Bangkok next week I think.

Ayuttahya: I so want to go there! A couple of years ago, the Peabody Museum in Salem, MA had a huge exhibit from Ayuttahya, the largest ever assembled outside of Thailand, and it was fascinating. The art, the murals, the statues, it was all incredibly beautiful.
(And I just read Playboy for the articles....)

Hello everyone, I'm here at Pnom Phen right now. I just came from Siam Reap and I saw all the temples, especially ankor wat and the others surrounding it. I paid $10 to a tuk tuk to give me a tour around the temples and I'ts definately worth it. Siam Reap is soo expensive!!! They charge everything in dollars like a can of coke would cost $2. Pnom Phen is the opposite coz everything is cheap here and the city is kinda dirty. I decided to go to Saigon, Vietnam the day after tomorrow, coz tommorow I'll be touring around the killing fields, and the museums. I saw some ts at Siam Reap but they look skanky..hehe... not as pretty as the ones I saw in Thailand. By the way when I was in Bankok the people there thought I was thai so they kept talking to me in thai, haha then now that I'm in Cambodia, people here think I'm Cambodian. Yeah I went to Ayutthaya, I joined the tour that the guest house that I stayed in organized. I stayed at Happy House guest house in Khao san road. Ayutthaya is soo amazing but its soo hot and sunny. I'm planning to go to Laos after I see everything in Vietnam.
