hi people i just got back from Guatemala i was there to look at a property and was suposto go to Europe for an interview but i ended up staying there and doing a bit of help for the mudslide victims out that way its so sad
how third world countries have
if we think we have it bad here with miss Katrina those poor people where 5 times worst
in the few extra days i stayed i got to see how much a little help here and there can make a difference
and it actually makes you think how shallow and materialistic we can be at times
i spend 2 days in a shelter packing rice, beans, blankets, bottled water and putting them in trucks to take to the most needy people in the out skirts of Guatemala city they are the ones that had nothing before the storm and now are even worst off
i felt such a need to be there helping because no matter where iam in life now i feel that iam a very lucky girl to have all that i have now
and like i always say you can get as high as the sky will let you but you cant never forget where you came from and all those poor people especially the children is where i came from so this was a little way of maybe giving something back
and i know that there will be that one person who will say something about me writing this to get attention
i am not iam writing this in the hopes that we can all take a look at our lives and be very grateful of what we have
because to some people our problems would be a very happy and comfortable life!!!

on another happy note

i just landed from Guatemala and now iam off to DC for the pixel party so be sure to check it out and don't forget that there will be lots of give aways from my company and other girls

so be there it will be oooooooooof the hoooooook!!!!!

hope to see some of ya there!!!!

That is absolutly awesome and good to read. And I was upset my basement flooded, lol. And fuck "attention", you deserve it for that. Wish I could say the same. Kudos.

This is why Gia is "Americas Sweetheart" she is so amazingly sweet you just want to squeeze her cheeks (not too hard they arent real LOL).

I think its a good idea to share whats going on because it might give another insight to help in some way. Whether its financial or hands on.

Way to go Gia!!!!

Yes you guys need to be there for the giveaways. I know Gia is bringing alot of her videos, Joanna Jet sent 10-15 videos, I supplied 10 of mine as well so guys there are over 50 dvds to be given away.

Thank you for sharing your story, Gia, and thank you for being you. It's so sad to hear about the suffering in other parts of the world. With all that's going on, I hadn't even been aware of the mudslides in Guatemala. Like Angela said, I've been concerned with flooding in my basement today--such a little thing in comparison.

Have a great time at the party. Maybe I'll see you in NYC at the end of the month, Gia...unless another crisis hits!

I know you intend well Mrs...but to compare the suffering of one vs. the suffering of another is trivial at best. We all have unfortunate events happen to us, such is the way of the world. True, in the grand scheme of things material wealth is nothing but what happened in Guatemala, like other less fortunate places in the world, will soon be forgetten while we shop for our prada, louis, and write $150 checks to pay for our monthly cable and cell phone bills...

honestly I try not to think about it because it troubles my heart deeply for me to complain about my weak $6,000 a month paycheck while there are those who have to support a family of four on less than $.20 US a day... :?
