Some of the judging is so shady...........some girls vogue down but get beat
by girls who just flop around on the floor.

if u lived in nyc u would gag if u went to a ball. don't take this the wrong way i'm just giving u some helpful info. u would stand out like a sore thumb cuz u dont understand how it is. the ballroom scene is geared toward the younger trendier generation of homosexual and typically minorities. certain stars, statements or legends like myself would be there but u usually dont see white men in there 30's attending. you would be viewed as a trick and god forbid u mention that lil kim is trashy in nyc n u would be beaten within an inch of your life i'm sure. fags are feirce like that but u just dont know.

Im not white.
As far as me being "beaten".......I dont think it would happen......you havent seen what I look like.
I know a lot of people like LIL KIM but please.......even some people that walk balls.....fem queens say the same thing as me about her......I can provide quotes if you wish.
I dont hate LIL KIM at all.......she is one of the most colorful characters out there..........and I totally understand why queens love her.
Im not the typical "tranny chaser" you have experience with.....I defy a lot of stereotypes.
I just enjoy balls.......it is entertaining to me.....thats all.

LMAO. I live in NYC and have actually attended a few of these things with a former girlfriend (who was a serious fag hag) and some of her gay friends. The fems that attend these type of events couldn't collectively defend themselves from a ninety-year-old grandmother in a wheelchair let alone beat a healthy male. It would be absolutely hysterical to watch an even like that unfold though.

Its the drag queens and the transexuals I would be woried about!
I have gone to some drag shows in oakland and if someone says something wrong it will start a fight.......I have had to RUN out of there before!
Some of the guys are really thuggish too......Im not worried about a fist fight......Im too big for that......Im worried about guns!

I was in the ballroom scene at 14 walking bq in drags face and realness and gradually moved onto femme queen face n realness as i got older and by the age 17 I was Mother Karan of the Baltimore/D.C. chapter and by 19 I retired the ballroom scene. I have seen fagz carve people like christmas turkeys with blades, I have seen people get beat with bricks, beaten in the face with high heels, bit in the face, pushed down steps, maced, and beaten by so many people at once so fast that by the time you realized what happened the person is laying there n lost half the blood in there body cuz its all over the sidewalk.

bottom line geekmeat.... the ballroom was not inteded for folks like you. it's an underground thing and seeing you type our language is relatively annoying because I truly believe that you know absolutely nothing about the scene other then what you have read.

Are these events only in NYC? I am a former pageant queen ( 4 time title holder) but this intrigues me, I did see a movie "Paris is Burning" but that seemed to only really be a documentary on the "House of pendavis" they didn't show anything as all these different categories,like you guys are stating, sounds fun and entertaining..
