I can only pick 3? Lol, maybe the Lord of the Rings Trilogy?

Hmm, I will actually have to think on this. There are a lot of movies I like but it is hard to call them favorites.

Gee. maybe for the young'uns under 20 there might only be three, but with over 45 years of movie viewing (figuring I really started paying attention around age 8), there's no way I could pick just three!

Here are a few all time faves:

Steppenwolf
Juliet of the Spirits
2001
Little Big Man
All About Eve
His Gal Friday
Braveheart
LoTR (all three, despite their flaws)

many, many others

hahaah, Hey Harry's Boy,, part 3 is when the flesh has decomposed off the corpse and now it's just a skeleton, but they are still dressing him up to try to convince everyone he is still alive,,,
hhaha, ok, bad joke, but seriously, there actually isn't a part 3

These are probably not my favorite favorite, but I find myself watching them again and again because they're damn good...

The Exorcist (the concept is still scary, although the visuals are not so scary these days)
Rocky (this was the only movie that made me cry; that scene when Rocky was talking to Adrienne right before the big fight)
Shawshank Redemption (Morgan Freeman is awesome)
The Chinese Connection (the one where he fights all the Japanese because they murdered his master... I love Bruce Lee)
The Negotiator (Kevin Spacey is too cool in this movie)

Okay, that's more than 3! :D

the remake by Guy Ritchie!

never saw that version....i had the misfortune to be managing a movie theatre when the original came out. i say misfortune because it wasn't the type of film to draw in a suburban neighborhood, so we were generally.....dead.

i liked the filming, though i wasn't particularly thrilled with Wertmuller's treatment of men

well, Madonna is on that film, how could i ever miss it!

point well taken!

cool, i love watching movies!

watching movies is one of my favorite things in the world....always has been. i crash to Turner Classic Movies more than i care to think about  . but managing movie theatres, at least, when i did it, was one of the worst things that a fan could do. the theatre had two screens. Hollywood wasn't cranking out films as fast as they do now and if one did well at the boxoffice, we'd hang on to it forever.

case in point....the original Rocky. my first impression was that it was a masterpiece of low-budget film work. however, after having it in both auditoriums for 26 weeks (38 showings/week), i still can't even bear to hear the openning strains of the soundtrack.....and that was almost 27 years go
