D.C. Man Pleads Guilty in Killing of Transgender Prostitute

Washington D.C. (AP) - A 24-year-old D.C. man faces a likely sentence
of 12 to 24 years in prison after pleading guilty to killing a
transgender prostitute two years ago.

Antoine Jacobs avoids the possibility of a life sentence by pleading
guilty to second-degree murder in the August 2003 death of Elviz
Augusto Perez Morales. The maximum sentence for the charge is 40 years
behind bars.

The Washington Post reports Jacobs admitted in court Monday that he
hunted down and shot the sex worker after learning that Morales had
been a man.

The slaying of Morales was one of two transgender killings in less than
a week that sparked fear that transgender people were being targeted.

Derrick Lewis was sentenced to ten years in prison last year for
killing Aaryn Marshall under similar circumstances.

That s why I m starting to wise up to being drunk in clubs because that s a potential explosive situation.

trust ur instinct specially sex workers if you feel not righ tor the man has a potential to be violent id try and avoid ppl like that.better to be safe than sorry,theres soo many men i dont even know why some girls bother decieving some guy its just not worth it.....

Baby it is sad. I live in the D.C. area and I have been to many funerals over the years. Some as young as 16 and most had very brutal murders.

I'm not one to mislead anyone that way anyway; but no place is totally safe in a world that seems to be overflowing with insecure, dangerous "men". I do plan to move to FT Lauderdale because TS's are pretty out in the open there, and no one seems to be phased by it.

If you definition of a while is a millenium or two then yes I agree. Men have been ding that sense the beginning of time, and it hasn't changed yet.

Yes indeed. I had a friend go to DC a few months ago. She went out and met a guy on the stroll and he paid for the hotel room in Arlington. After he sucked her off, he went to the bathroom to clean himself off, then came out of the bathroom and shot her several times. She was able to pull herself together and ran out of the hotel naked for help. Luckly, she survived but she was hospitalized and had to get several inches of her intestines removed because he shot her 4 times.

Amazingly, the cops in Arlington were very helpful. They paid for travel and hotel for all of her court hearings. The man who shot her was a navy man- and had just married, with a new born baby. Can you believe that his family was mad at her? It wasn't like she decieved him or anything. He had no remorse, and lied in court saying that he did not touch her and that he did not know she was a man. TRUST ME HE KNEW- after all he went were all "the girls" be at. But the jury knew that this was a lie-and gave him a guilty plea for attempted murder- and he will be spending his natural born life in jail.

After the trial, it was later discovered that the only reason why he shot her, is because he had dated a previous girl who robbed him. He retalated on my girlfriend, because he wanted revenge- since the other girl had stole from him...... THE STREETS ARE DANGEROUS. I wouldn't recommend it to any girl- especially in DC.

Now since that has happened, along with alot of other viscious attacks against our girls- the police there have closed the stroll down! They gave all the girls there a warning, and since then they have cars parked all along the stroll and bright lights; arresting all that come out there, even the Johns. With that being said, maybe it will get a lil safer there, but I know alot of girls are hurt because they can't make there money.

Great point Arianna, the judicial system is a joke. EVERYONE is supposed to be protected under the law EQUALLY. There were a number of murders back in the Detroit area of TS's. The police barely investigated.

One murder in particular was commited because his "boy's" found out his new gal was a TS. Hell, he probaly knew it before he got with her and his precious little manhood was questioned. Cowards, all of them!

Wow, this is kind of an old thread. I can't tell if things are getting better or worse for us. Doesn't sound like it's headed anywhere good.
