we are celebrating our Independence Day Today! yay!

We used to share our Independence Day with the United States, July 4th, fyi.

Happy Independence Day! You setting off any fireworks? I remember the Philippines having the same Independence Day as the US--when did it change?

if i am not mistaken... the original date is june 12 but they changed it to july 4 when we were totally free from the americans... but they changed it back to june 12... i think it was Diosdado Macapagal who changed it back to june 12, the day we became free from the spaniards...

I hope all of you are having fun today.

Its a holiday here too....Queens Birthday. I'm meant to be doing an essay...worth 80% of my mark....but I just can't focus at the moment.

Damn holidays.

I forgot to add "happy Independance Day"!

I am going to Northern Ireland the week of our 4th of July, and the middle of the infamous Marching season there...Have friends there, lived just south of Belfast for two years, 12 years ago, right near the end of "the Troubles". There independance celebrations are facinating, really. To see the parades in person, red, white and blue, just like ours! (or ours just like theres!)
I was a catholic boy living in the heart of Loyalist Ireland. I can tell u, it was amazing, an experience I will never forget......
