I found this while digging out some old CD's in a dusty cupboard.
Ahhh this takes me back.
You weren't a child of the late 80's early 90's without your daily fix of TMNT.

Threy had a boardgame? How in the hell did I miss that.
I lived for the turtles. The original cartoon (never saw the new one, and I've only heard bad things about that), I owned the first 2 movies (after that I wasn't excited), and even played the videogames. Turtles in Time rocked.
TURTLE POWER!
On a side note... I had a friend who got an April O'neal doll for his birthday. It always kinda amused me that she had the word "Press" on her outfit placed over one of her breasts. Think about it.

damn, didnt know there was a TMNT boardgame. i used to watch the show all the damn time tho. anyone remember the TMNT arcade game? one of the best arcade games, ever!
I still remember the code for Turtles II for NES
B A B A Up Down B A Left Right B A (select) start
at the title screen
select for 2 players
10 lives + level select
and its kinda embarrassing to admit, but I never beat the first TMNT on NES... that game was harder than it needed to be, those space men with the strong ass lasers toward the end made my life hell.....

Is that the game where you had to also defuse a couple bombs under water? I never got far on that game. That's why turtles in time was a lot more fun... I want to play that game again.
...emulator... hmmm...

There's an old TMNT arcade game that's kind of like Final Fight. You can play it on a MAME emulator on a PC or a Mac.

Can someone please tell me how this MAME emmulator works? I wanna download it, but all the files & ROMS you need for it is a little confusing.
What files do I need to get etc?

Pfffft. I dunno. I used ZSNES for all my illegal gaming needs. Don't get me started on my earthbound hacking techniques.

Yeah that's from the first one. That level was unnecessarily hard - why would turtles be affected by seaweed? The first two levels were fairly easy (seaweed notwithstanding) but the game took a quantum dive into the difficulty chart after that.
there was the 3rd level that took 100 minutes minimum to end, what with all the going in different buildings, getting ropes, scrolls, finding captured turtles...
then the 4th level which was equally hard because it was laid out like a maze and there was that fire-lava-turtle melt stuff that you had to jump over.
level 5 was small... just annoying as hell because you had to track down the technodrome, which meant going thru all those underground stages with the ambiguously drawn creatures...
then you get to the technodrome and you could just cry because it was so hard and you had no radar.
memoriesssssssssssss

Well, you need to download the MAME emulator. That's easy to get. Then you need to download all these illegal ROM files which you can get through a little tedious searching on the net. A few years ago, they used to be very easy to find. Someone actually sells all of them (thousands of games) on a DVD for cheap.
The cool thing is (okay, it's geeky cool) there are people who build arcade machines with a PC running MAME inside the arcade cabinet, so for the cost of one real arcade machine, you can have a MAME one running like 3,000 games.
Now, there are some difficulties, like how do you play paddle control games on a PC? You need to get specifc controllers that are compatible with MAME. If the controller is universally embraced by everyone, chances are good that MAME will support it if not now then in a future release.
Do a google on mame for more info. :-D
