My Fiance Zoe and I each lost a couple of friends today in the senseless tragedy in Capitol Hill. It's gone worldwide in the news, Chinese news, the
BBC news and a lot of other world news desks have been reporting. All
in all the news has been fair and balanced (with the exception
ironically enough of Fox News who had one anchor say "When I hear
youth and shooting, I think raves and drugs"). Everyone else has
reported this as psychotic individual who just snapped and wanted a
body count before killing himself.
Zoe and I organized a candlelight vigil tonight down at the scene of
the tragedy which you can read about at http://cdcstudios.com
The candlelight vigil went great and both Zoe and I were on the news (hooray).
Here's a link to me on the news (and zoe too)

There's a link to watch the video there.
Here's the link to the video with Zoe being interviewed.

A reporter from the Seattle Times interviewed me as well as an AP
reporter, both plan on contacting me later.
Fairly positive reporting from the people we talked to with a minimum
of negative spin on a close knit loving community of people who just
like good music and a positively charged vibe in the Seattle scene.
Senseless tragedy usually doesn't hit so close to home. It's a shame those of us active in the Seattle rave community didn't know this guy needed help before he snapped.
