I ve done a lot of internet research and reading on various transgender, transsexual and transvestite writers.
Their opinions seem to vary differently on what is the most important in presenting a feminine appearance as possible.
Some say the face, some say hormones so you can alter your body and grow some boobs, some say hair... What do you think? :?:

Its none that you indicated - Its the mind

I agree with 702, the mind, then appearance(obviously) to be passable to the general public, face and body are both definites!
i absolutely agree it's the mind. this topic makes me think of one TS i met in particular when i was 16 in los angeles. she was so nice and sweet and feminine acting and even though she wasn't what i percieved as attractive i couldn't view her as anything but a woman. i tried to figure out what it was about her that made me veiw her as a woman when i personally felt like she was physically unnattractive and after alot of pondering i came to the conclusion that it was who she was inside. she was such a beautiful person inside that it exhuded through her... almost like an aura of femininity. take note ladies....personality is MORE important than looks.

. Being a TS (not TV or CD although they also require some work) takes work and alot of dedication. One cant do it just half ass.

dont all TS start out as TV though

Its NOT the appearance that is most important.
It is the mannerisms, capturing that feminine essence.......that is the most important and the most elusive.

of course the mind is the most important. But I was referring to the physical part. I.e., is lack of five o clock shadow more important than getting implants? Is getting a 8 hour figure more important, than, say, shaving off your adam's apple?

You could say all TS start as TV or CD in that physically they are men who have to dress as women and gradually transition into a feminine body (whether a girl goes for SRS or not), but there's a fundamental difference pyschologically: a TS is born TS, and while there are differences in how a girl perceives her femininity, she is deep-down a woman, not a man who enjoys dressing as a woman. A CD remains a man, has no interest in transitioning, but simply enjoys (and often gets a sexual rush out of) dressing as a woman. A TV is somewhere between these two, but a TS is not a cross-dresser. She may begin by cross-dressing because you have to start somewhere, but she's already TS and is simply beginning her transition, which is different, know what I mean?

As a hopefully str8 man, I think thingz r like this:
I do like only feminine bodies, there's no doubt about that.
But what really turns me on is the personal intelligence of
a female-look-alike person, it's her mind that gives that
something little extra that produces a mayor kick! Now,
mayority of the genetic girls, in most cases, do not posess
that lill extra, but TS girls almost always do. They have the
right body for me, but also strong mind too, and that's really
somethin..
P.S.
Monica, would You marrie me  ?

the personality. To me you need that to make a connection no matter what. But that's just me.

i think it's the soul that's most important, then the mind & then the body

I definitely think hairyness is the biggest part.

msdazzler youre really naive to all this :D everything is important girl as much as you can improve youre self to be unltimately passable, some girls have it naturaly some has to work on it for years, but id say all of the above, but from what i can see from ur face pic,you re face is fine for now the most importan things when you out in the public and you decide to be full time is ur speech, the way you walk and body language is for the first step, cause its what people can see from the distance and they can pick up on it,people dont really have a magnfying glass to spot any flaws on ur face when you walk pass do you,(unless theyre super rude) the hormones will soften you if youre willing to take that long process make sure you take it constantly otherwise it will not work properly, but it all depends on how you wanna look, people can only advice you:-)youll be fine girlfriend
